Renovation of Agege Vocatonal Training Centre including the equipping of a Music Class and a Creche
A total renovation of a dilapidated Vocational Centre, involving ceilings, walls, flooring and externals. A borehole was was sunk to provide water. Only one toilet was found to be inadequate for the 10 room complex, it was totally overhauled and 2 additional toilets were constructed.
A room was renovated and equipped to serve as a Creche for some of the Students who come to class with their infants. Another room was specifically equipped with Musical Instruments for the Music Class.
The Project addressed directly 3 Areas of Focus namely, Basic Education and Literacy, Water & Sanitation, and Maternal & Child Health: indirectly, it addressed Economic Empowerment and Peace & Conflict Resolution: as the Centre serves young adults who would otherwise have been another source of societal malaise.
