Fulfilling our promise: Rotary Club of Gbagada Wednesday 12 September 2018 at the SOS Children
It is a traditional project of Rotary Club of Gbagada to the SOS Children’s Village (A charity home for abandoned children and young adults) for over 20 years.
It involves sponsoring of three (3) children with the annual presentation of cash donation. During the visit, the managers outline the progress of the sponsored wards, we interact with them and suggest ways of improving their welfare.
We encouraged some to participate in the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) outing and there are plans to involve some of them in the youth exchange program. Everyone is satisfied with the positive impact of our sponsorship on the wards.
